1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BayAreaTechJobs (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Account and Sign-In
To use BayAreaTechJobs, you must sign in with a supported provider (currently Google or GitHub). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it.
3. Description of Service
BayAreaTechJobs is a job listing aggregator that surfaces Bay Area tech roles from third-party job boards and company career pages. The Service allows subscribers to browse listings by category and track job statuses.
The Service is not:
- A guarantee of job placement or interview outcomes
- An employment agency or recruiter
- A guarantee that any specific listing will be available or current
There is no employment relationship between BayAreaTechJobs and its users.
4. Subscription and Billing
Access to BayAreaTechJobs requires a paid subscription of $30 per month, billed in advance. By subscribing, you authorize recurring monthly charges to your payment method. Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page or through the Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of the current billing period. Cancellation takes effect at period end — your access is immediately revoked as soon as the period ends.
5. Refund Policy
All payments are non-refundable. We do not issue prorated refunds or credits for unused time remaining in a billing period.
Exceptions may be considered at our sole discretion for billing errors, duplicate charges, or unauthorized transactions. To report such an issue, contact us at hello@colinfran.com.
6. Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any price change via email or in-app notice. Price changes take effect on your next billing cycle. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
7. Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers or sensitive payment details — those are handled entirely by Stripe. For billing disputes, contact us directly or through the Stripe billing portal accessible from your Settings page.
8. Job Listings and External Links
BayAreaTechJobs aggregates listings from third-party sources. We do not verify every listing and cannot guarantee that listings are accurate, current, or available at the time of viewing. Listings and application links are controlled by third parties and may change or become unavailable at any time.
We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, hiring practices, or decisions of any employer or third-party site.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by:
- Scraping, crawling, or bulk-downloading listing data by any automated means
- Reselling, redistributing, or sublicensing the data feed or content
- Reverse engineering any part of the Service
- Sending abusive traffic, bots, or automated requests
- Attempting unauthorized access to accounts, APIs, or infrastructure
- Using the Service in violation of applicable law
10. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at any time for violations of these Terms, abuse, fraud, or any other reason at our sole discretion. In cases of abuse or fraud, access may be removed without refund. If we terminate your account without cause, we will issue a prorated refund for unused subscription time.
11. Data and Account Deletion
Job tracking actions, preferences, and account data you create are stored to provide your dashboard experience. If you request account deletion, your personal data and activity will be permanently removed, subject to any retention required for legal or billing compliance. 12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as-is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. BayAreaTechJobs does not guarantee employment outcomes, interview opportunities, or the accuracy of any listing.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BayAreaTechJobs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, reliance on job listings, or subscription billing. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in San Francisco, California.
