BayAreaTechJobs collects only the information needed to authenticate users, provide the dashboard, process payments, and operate the service.

When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive profile information from that provider:

  • Name and profile image (if provided by the provider)
  • Email address
  • Provider account identifier

1.2 Billing Information

When you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your access. We do not store full card numbers or sensitive payment details — those are handled entirely by Stripe.

1.3 App Data You Create

We store your in-app activity, including job tracking statuses (viewed, not relevant) and your default dashboard category.

1.4 Technical and Usage Data

We may collect operational telemetry such as request logs and diagnostics to monitor reliability and improve performance.

  • Authenticate users and maintain sessions

  • Process and manage subscription billing
  • Store your job tracking actions and preferences

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We rely on third-party services to operate BayAreaTechJobs, including:

  • Authentication providers (Google and GitHub)
  • Stripe for payment processing
  • Infrastructure and hosting providers (Vercel, Neon)
  • Search and data providers used to discover job listings

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
